The Story is Real: I Think There is a 'Dark Force' in our Room

Okay...this is a really scary true to life story guys and I hope I find thoughts, advises, insights from you after reading this post.

Will get straight to the point kasi 'pag hinabaan ko pa ito baka hindi ko na matapos sa sobrang takot ko.

The scary thing happened two nights ago.  I slept with my 1 year old boy, Axxel, in the master's bedroom while hubby and the 2 kids slept in another room.  We are currently like this because Axxel is very sensitive at noise and has difficulty to fall back to sleep again when disturbed.

We went upstairs into our bedroom at past 9:30 p.m.  We sleep with the main lights off and only the lights in our bathroom are the ones open because I don't like it totally dark.  People who knew me knows that I am so duwag BUT loves to watch horror films tsk tsk.  So anyway, we went straight to the bed, pat Axxel's thigh while singing a lullaby song until he fell asleep.  I also slept right away and here is what happened during that night that I REALLY REALLY wish do not happen again by God's grace.

I was having a nightmare again.  I know some of you have experienced this.  Ito 'yung tipo ng mga panaginip na hindi ka makahinga.  You feel like every inch of your muscle is paralyzed.  The more I bolted, the more I can't move.  I have experienced this a lot of times. In my dreams, sometimes there is this super dark shadow that is running after me, or yung mga shadows na bumabalot sa katawan mo para hindi ka makahinga.  What I always do is to pray and recite the Our Father prayer and then I will wake up.

However, this time is different.  Again, I can't breathe nor move, but now I know in my self that I am not dreaming.  I am unconscious but I am fully aware of what was happening around me.  There was someone in the room.  I can see it because our room is not totally dark. The shadow's shape is like a horse, a very dark horse! (sort of tikbalang).  It was approaching me, on my left side, like a very slow wind.  Then he started whispering unknown words over me.  Papalapit ng papalapit until I loudly heared its voice.  The words, I can't understand but it is definitely a man's voice from deep deep down under.  It lasted for about a minute and that is too long already. Alam niyo yung feeling na nakikita at nararamdaman mo siya but you cannot do anything.  I can't even scream while deep inside I'm screaming to death!  He's like choking me.

What I just did was to rebuke even if I did not know how.  I remember repeatedly saying "In Jesus name umalis ka dito!" Paulit ulit.  Then I talked to God.  I told him that if it's my time, then so be it.  I surrendered myself to him at ang sabi ko siya na ang bahala sakin.  I again prayed Our Father, and with just a snap, I woke up again.  I looked at the clock and it was past 2 a.m.

God knows how scared I am that time, not only for me but for my kids and for my husband.   There is an unknown presence hovering me on my bed.  An evil presence or the devil itself? Papano kung manakit na siya? Some called it bangungot but I'd like to believe that the presence of evil is really out there...somewhere...which really requires me a lot of a more sincere relationship with God. I placed a rosary in our doorknob and we are planning to have the house be blessed again asap. Seriously.

This is the creepiest and freakiest situation I have been into in my life but I know that my faith to God is much stronger than any other "dark force" that is lurking out there. There is nothing to be feared for when you know you are with God.

Haaaaaay...

I know most of you experienced this too.   How do you cope up with this?

  3. This is really terrifying. I have had a similar experience. I was at a Wendy's and while my mom was ordering I was waiting for her at the table. I heard a man's deep voice say my name. I quickly turned my head but no one was there. It really freaked me out and I've had some other experiences that were terrifying. Lately, nothing has happened. I try not to think about it.

  4. That's a very scary experience!

What happens to me most of the times is like my soul is drifting away from my body.. when I feel like it's about to happen, I just relax and pray to Mama Mary.

If there really is a bad element in your room, put a rock salt (not iodized) around your bedroom, specially at your bed side and under the bed.

  7. That's so scary. Something similar has happened to me in the past. I always just pray hard and really push myself to move just one part of my body, usually my hand. That's usually enough to wake me up.

  11. I experienced something similar before and they refer to it as sleep paralysis. The thing I do to wake up is focus on moving my pinky finger. The focus helps me wake up every time. If you do feel however that there is something lurking in the shadows maybe you can ask a priest to bless your place?

I hope that blessing the house works! I don't know any other solutions e :(

  13. Oh my, whatever it is, I hope it goes away. Nothing beats prayers, and what you did, rebuking the evil spirit, was right. Or maybe you're going through a very stressful time? Sana stress lang.

  18. Whenever I felt scared when I was young, there's one prayer I used to chant. Turo ng lolo ko sa amin "Magnificat Anema Mea Dominum, Amen" which means ikinararangal ng aking kaluluwa ang Diyos... Try mo sis.

  20. I have experienced something similar to a "bangungot" with the paralysis + all but sans the scary creature + not in our house. This is really very scary. It will probably be good to relax, meditate, + pray before going to bed. I also suggest you ditch watching scary films, too. Having your house blessed is also a good idea. I have that scary creature or force won't bother your family again.

  21. I had a similar experience when hubby and I spent the night at an old hotel. I couldn't move my arm while lying on bed. It seemed so heavy as if someone is pressing down on me. It also took a while before I would finally wake up, and I woke up really scared and unable to sleep again. I recently came across an article about "sleep paralysis." It might somehow explain what both of us have experienced. -- Maria Teresa Figuerres
