Hello friends! I would just like to introduce you to my new dainty cell phone caddy by Olivia Moss.  I got this from my sister's package in the US and fell in love instantly!

Olivia Moss Cell Phone Caddy
It has the following features:
  • Five designer styles with soft-lined inner compartment for phone
  • Extra pocket for credit cards, money & I.D. with Velcro closure for added security.
  • Key ring with lobster-claw clasp to clip anywhere.
  • Five Bold & Bright Styles

What I got is the blue one.

Since my phone is too big for this phone caddy, I just decided to put in my every day #BodyFood essentials. I also included my balm around, and skin relief butter tins. (not in picture)

Now, I can bring all my essentials with me anywhere! No hassle pa for transferring things to other bags, because you can easily just throw it in. =)

How many times did you hear that you should be wearing sunblock regardless if the weather is sunny or rainy?

Well, you should have believed it by now.  The ozone layer is depleting and your body needs shielding from harmful rays. Skin Cancer rates are on the rise and sunscreen has been proven to decrease the development of skin cancer.  It also helps to prevent facial brown spots and skin discolorations and slows down the development of wrinkled, premature aging skin.

Aaaaand... it is the ultimate skin care must have of those beauty personalities you see online and on tv. Oha!

It is my first time to try  Provence Calendula Daily Sunblock from Nature Republic. For those who first heard of the brand, Nature Republic is a cosmetics Korean brand that utilizes natural ingredients for their products created in March 2009.  The brand's philosophy is 'A Sense of the Beginning'.

Nature Republic opened its first store in March 2009.  By 2010, Nature Republic has opened stores in Taiwan, Singapore, Thailand, and Malaysia.  In 2011, Nature Republic opened its first store in Cambodia and launched its first store in the Philippines on November 13, 2012.

Back to the sunblock, from its name, it contains calendula floral ingredients. Calendula is an annual flower native to the northern Mediterranean countries. Its name refers to its tendency to bloom with the calendar, usually once a month or with every new moon. Calendula is also known for its ability to brighten skin and protect from blemishes.  It is generally considered safe and can be used in teas, tinctures, creams, salves and poultices/compresses.

HOW TO USE:
Take an adequate amount of the product and thoroughly apply on the areas exposed on the rays.  That means you should be applying NOT ONLY in your face but at the side/back of your ears too and neck.

Here it is when applied on the skin.

Freshly squeezed
Fully spread
Pros:
  • It has an SPF 50+ which is really a great plus especially when your always outdoor.  And it's still SUMMER!
  • It moisturizes skin upon application.
  • For all skin type.
  • Packaging is a squeeze tube product which keeps product sanitary and compact.
  • It do smells good.
  • Everything that is natural and pure organic for me is already SOLD.

Cons:
  • Though the texture is light, it's a little bit dewey when applied on your face.  Be sure to apply tiny dots first.
  • Unfortunately, it leaves white cast =(. See my second hand photo? That is the white cast.
  • It leaves oily and shiny feel on my face.  You still need to put powder on top of it to look matte.

Overall, I might finish this tube since I commute from office to work from time to time.  But after that, I think I might just go back to Belo's Sunblock. =)

Last Sunday (Mother's Day!), me and my family were invited to participate in Sky Cable's event entitled #SKYLifePH's Color Explosion Year 2. Fifth Herbalife Asia-Pacific Wellness Tour seeks to address health issues associated with sedentary lifestyles, and deepen practical understanding on the benefits of a healthy, active life

PHILIPPINES, April 25, 2016 –Herbalife, a global nutrition company, has released the findings of the new Nutrition At Work Survey, which revealed that the majority of Philippines’ workforce leads largely sedentary lifestyles, putting them at risk of obesity. The Survey1, which was designed to understand the lifestyle habits and attitudes of Asia Pacific’s modern workforce, was conducted in March with 5,500 full-time workers in 11 Asia-Pacific markets, including 500 workers from thePhilippines.

According to the survey findings, almost nine out of 10 (85%) workers in the Philippines spend at least six hours a day sitting at their desk, with 52% of its workforce eating lunch at their work desk two to five times per week. The survey also revealed that majority of Philippines’ workforce (86%) exercise less than three times per week, with five out of 10 getting less than 30 minutes of physical activity a day at their workplace. This suggests a significantly worrying trend locally, on the back of rising obesity rates recorded in recent years.

Nevertheless, the risk of obesity could be averted if workers in the Philippines decide to take control over their own nutritional intake and exercise regimen. Close to eight out of 10 workers(75%) affirmed that they strive to live a healthy, active life, however, the majority of them noted that they find it difficult to stay active during workdays.

“With a majority of Philippines’ workforce leading largely sedentary lifestyles, our mission as a global nutrition company is to help people in thePhilippinestake practical steps towards leading healthy, active lives.By inculcating positive nutrition and active lifestyle habits to people in the Philippines, we hope that this will, over time, help reduce obesity risks and lead to positive improvements to the well-being of our people,”said Mr. Rosalio Valenzuela, General Manager of Herbalife Philippines.

Aimed at addressing health issues associated with sedentary lifestyles, and deepening practical understanding on the benefits of healthy, active lifestyles, Herbalife launched its fifth Asia Pacific Wellness Tour 2016, held in the months of April and May. The latest edition of the Wellness Tour builds upon the successes of the past four tours that welcomed more than 80,000 participants across the region, and features a host of medical symposiums, talks and workshops led by seven experts from Herbalife’s Nutrition Advisory Board (NAB), covering 26 cities across Australia, Cambodia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Macau, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.

Gary Small, M.D. has recently visited the country and shared his expert views on digital dementia and brain aging at the “A Smart Way to Healthy Aging: A Talk by Gary Small, M.D.” event.Dr. Small, a specialist in brain health and aging, has authored over 500 scientific works and received numerous awards and honors, including the "Senior Investigator Award" from the American Association for Geriatric Psychiatry.

During the talk Dr. Smalladdressed health and nutrition related issues associated with sedentary lifestyles and share practical tips on how today’s workforce can live healthier lives by making simple changes to their daily lifestyles. Health and medical professionals, academics, as well as the general public have also engaged in lively dialogues with Dr. Smallat the event, and had the chance to network with like-minded professionals through the Herbalife Asia-Pacific Wellness Tour platform.

Rounding up the team of Herbalife NAB experts who have participated in the Asia-Pacific Wellness Tour are:

·    Dr. David Heber, chairman of the Herbalife Nutrition Institute and Nutrition Advisory Board. A leading expert in the field of nutrition, named as one of “The World’s Most Influential Scientific Minds” by Thomson Reuters in 2014 and repeatedly included in “The Best Doctors in America”.

·    Dr. Chin-Kun Wang, an expert in metabolism and nutrition, with a focus on the clinical evaluation of nutritional supplements, nutraceuticals, functional foods and herbs. He was awarded the National Award of Biomedicine in Taiwan in 2008 for his contribution to medical education.

·     Dr. Julian Alvarez Garcia, a specialist in sports medicine and sports physiology who has advised professional teams, national teams and individual athletes on a range of disciplines including weightlifting, triathlons, mountain biking, football and basketball.

·     Dr. Darren Burgess, an expert in sports science and nutrition who has authored papers in multiple peer review journals. He is also the current Head of High Performance at Port Adelaide Football (AFL) Club, and the former Head of Fitness and Conditioning at Liverpool Football Club.

·     Dr. NatanielViuniski, an expert in pediatrics and nutrition who has authored “Childhood Obesity – A Practical Guide”. He is also currently an advisor to Brazil's Health and Education Ministry for Childhood Obesity.

·   Dr. Francis Gregory Samonte, one of the Philippines’ premier experts in pediatric neurology, and the first Filipino appointed to the NAB. He was a recipient of the Chairman’s Achievement Award from the University of Louisville, Kentucky’s Department of Pediatrics.

The NAB experts were also joined by Dr. Luigi Gratton, Herbalife’s vice president of nutrition education and development, who has written numerous articles on nutrition and obesity, and has appeared on television speaking on nutrition, anti-aging medicine, sports nutrition and other medical topics.

“With each new edition of the Wellness Tour, we are seeing an increasing number of people gain practical knowledge to lead better lives. We hope that that this year’s Tour will further empower people to take charge of their nutritional intake and exercise regimen, so that they can enjoy the full benefits of a healthy, active life,” Mr. Valenzuela concluded.

1Herbalife’s Nutrition At Work Survey was conducted in March 2016, with 5,500 respondents aged 18 and above, from Australia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.

Hello!

Here is a quick post of my Gourdo's finds. I love Gourdo's. Its branch in Podium has been my go-to happy place whenever I feel stressed in the office. So yes, I'm stressed yesterday so kinakailangan ng external outlet haha. =)

Here it is!

From left to right: (1) Neoprene Bottle Buttoned Sling Bag (2) Cannon Soap Dish (3) Neoprene Gourmet Getaway Lunch Bag

Priced at 580php, this Neoprene Gourmet Getaway Lunch Bag is made of neoprene, wet suit material.  I love everything that has neoprene material because it makes the product sturdier for me. It has soft grip handles which make carrying easy and comfortable. Ideal for restaurants, parties, bbq, beach, picnics, etc. Although it is not insulated, it also keeps bottles cool/warm for several hours.  The bag is waterproof, scratch-proof, and shockproof which makes it perfect for a grade schooler's lunch kit. The bag is also washable, tested safely, and best of all, eco-friendly.

Priced at 160php, the Neoprene Bottle Buttoned Slinger bag have the same material as with the Getaway Lunch bag. It is just that it is intended as bottle/jug cover.  And because it is buttoned, you can easily attached this to your summer bag or even strollers. Aaaaand look! They have a lot of cute designs to choose from!

Such an eye candy!

Lastly is this Soap Dish.  I just need an extra soap dish for my Body Food soaps. Made from Cannon, it has a solid ceramic/straw pattern. Priced at 95php.

That's it pancit!

Have a stress free day guys!

Batch 2 --April 18-29
Batch 3 --May 1-13
Batch 4 --May 16-27

I got an invitation from Mathemagis to try their program for Gabo.  We chose the Serendra branch since we are quite near to the place.  Here is my son's experience:

Gabo was asked to have an assessment first so the teachers will know what program best suits with him.

This is Teacher Len assisting Gabo during his exam.  She is ver accommodating and sees to it that my son had a good grasp in her instructions.
The Mathemagis branch in Serendra is very spacious, clean, and most importantly conducive to learning.

This is such a cute message wall!
Materials are neatly stored in separate boxes according to categories

They give feedbacks every after session when you request for it which I really appeciate.  As a parent I want to gauge the learning progress of my child and a teacher-parent feedback discussion is such a great mechanism.

The center have 4 different rooms according to age category

This is the wall where kids who have done a great job for the week were posted =).  Also it serves as a library and activity wall.

Gabo still have 4 sessions to go and as of the moment he is enjoying his learning expereince at Mathemagis.
