Back to School with Dabbawalla Bags

Back to school time means new bags! Especially for preschooler kids.  I know I'm not the only mommy here who loves to pick cute little backpacks for your kiddos.  What are those do you consider when buying your kid's backpacks? Hindi dapat mawawala ang cuteness to match those little frames of our children and of course it must be durable enough and spacious to hold everything with ease.  The backpack should be lightweight and not too big.  We are talking about preschoolers here and considering their size, they cannot carry much weight.

I found all of my requirements to this wonderful bag named Dabbawalla.

Look at that Apple!!! Isn't that too cute!!!
"Packed with function, these bags were invented by sisters Susan Givens and Carol Mack who were frustrated by the lack of convenient, appropriately-sized bags available for kids.

The name Dabbawalla was inspired by Susan’s travels in India where she became fascinated by the food carrying system of lunchtime delivery men known as dabbawallas. All Dabbawalla Bags are designed to stand upright for easy access and include a sturdy handle as well as two interior mesh pockets for additional storage.

The mission at Dabbawalla Bags is simple: design fun, functional bags that appeal to both kids and adults while promoting social responsibility. The bags are crafted by sewers who earn fair wages in safe working conditions, and they do business with companies who support this commitment. You will love the fresh designs, free of commercial characters or action heroes, that are sized just right for your pre-school and early elementary school aged children."

This bag has a very soft spongy material which they called neoprene.  Worry not for your kid's back because this dabbawalla bag has a padded strap and cushioned strap that gives comfort to the skin, shoulder and back of our child.

Sized as (12”h x 11”w x 6”d), it is very spacious you can throw everything in there! From their school stuff such as crayons, pencils, 2-3 notebooks, extra clothes, and lunchbox.  It has a mesh pockets inside that can hold water or milk bottles and the other one can hold flat stuffs sch as notebooks or paper pads.  You can also have your name printed inside to make it more personalized.

Did I mention that it is also machine washable too!  That's right parents, no more manually brushing for you can easily throw it to your machine machine and let it take the cleaning job.

Looks like someone is already excited for school. =)

Dabbawalla Bags also offers lunch totes and lunch sacks/totes.  They are exclusively distributed by Kenleen International Distribution at the Mega Fashion Hall of SM Megamall; Rustan’s in Makati, Alabang, Shangri-la Plaza, and Cebu; The Travel Club at Rockwell, Trinoma, Shangri-la, Newport, and Alabang Town Center; and at Olie & Co.  For details, call 359-5284 or e-mail kenleen.inc@gmail.com.
