Okay, now ladies, I will introduce you to the products that will make you feel heaven on earth! Haha!

I have been very vocal about my oozing love with what Ms. Ana Gutch (maker of BodyFood) is producing in her magical porch.  As they say, "If you love someone, you say it, right then, out loud. Otherwise, the moment just passes you by." Hihi.

Ladies and gentlemen, I found my forever love [aside from my husband, of course, =)] in the name of Bodyfood All-Natural!

Here are my top 7 reasons why I went so gaga over these products!

1. Honey Face Cleanser with VCO

This is my ultimate favorite of all! This bottle contains 100 ml of the most fragrant wild Banawe Honey, the gentlest purest mildest cold pressed home made VCO and scented with essential oils of Lavender, Jasmine Absolute, Vetiver and Rose Absolute. The way to use this Honey Face cleanser is to first shake the bottle before use. Take a cotton ball, dab some product into it soaking half of the cotton ball with the product, apply with your "clean" face in a circular motion.  Leave it for 2 minutes (but I sometimes leave it for overnight!) before rinsing thoroughly (without soap or cleanser for dry skin and with gentle soap and cleanser for oily skin).  The scent is so addicting, it's like your whole face is being soaked in a well full of roses.  After cleaning up, your face is as new as ever. =)

2 & 3. Rose Skin Oil and Perfume #1

I have always found the rose very regal and classy. While I do not care much for fragrances that mimic the rose’s scent, the essential oil I find, to be just heavenly. - Ana Gutch

The Rose skin oil. It is an amazeballs oil! Based in argan oil, you can put it on your face, hands, nails, hair name it. The oil has 3 drops of rose absolute equivalent to 90 fat heads of Bulgarian roses! The smell of the rose is so precious you don't want to waste any drop. With regards to Perfume #1, I have already made a review of it here! Please click the link!

4. Balm Around

Ms. Ana made this balm to address not just soothing and healing inflamed bites or early signs of skin allergy, but also to help with migraine and stuffed nose, and chapped lips.
Made with Vitamin E oil, Wheatgerm Oil, raw beeswax with all the good healing stuff in there, EV olive oil, essential oils of ginger, tea tree, lemongrass, eucalyptus, frankincense and lavender- all that goodness will allow you relax and ” balm” around about the bites, the allergies, the cooking burns, the migraine and chapped-lips.  I always bring this baby with me 24 hours a day, especially in my office where migraine usually attacks. A pocket-sized friendly you could also bring to your round the hill travels. Very effective I tell yah.
5. German Chamomile Lavender Argan oil Manzanilla

Seldom is the connection made between the Chamomile essential oil that has become known for its soothing, calming, and healing properties, with that of the manzanilla that had had its popularity many years back as a go-to first-aid for the  “gassy” ones.
The manzanilla bought from drugstores that had been used to address “kabag” is actually made with chamomile oil and mineral oil, did you know? Many think Manzanilla is outdated and not good to use because some pediatricians have stopped prescribing it. Manzanilla simply means Chamomile darlings! and Bodyfood Cham Lav Manzanilla in Argan oil is used as you would use baby oil. it warms and soothes and calms and does not contain the mineral oil, green dye, and synthetic cham and citronella oil that you will otherwise find in those sold in drugstores
The drugstore bought manzanilla, though no longer as popular, has always been one of my favorite products as it has always worked for me despite my discomfort with the texture and feel of mineral oil. With finding out what manzanilla is made of, I wasted no time looking for that particular chamomile essential oil I wanted to use and testing what carrier oil I’d find best to use with it.
The Chamomile Lavender Manzanilla of Bodyfood had been tested over a year on no less than my own children before it sold its first bottle. It has found its use as not just an effective product to warm upset, gassy tummies but is also discovered useful for warming the chest on cold days, lung-allergy days, before bath, before swimming, on the onset of cough and throughout till they heal from it. It may also be used as a massage oil for the boys to help sooth and relax and have them have more restful sleep. ( not all naps are restful, yes mommies? )
The Chamomile Lavender Manzanilla is made with premium oils of Chamomile and Lavender essential oils and Argan Oil ( who doesn’t love Argan? ) This combination creates a warming oil. Many have attested to its effectivity and once again Bodyfood is happy to be on service through this product. (Source: BodyFood's website)
Need I say more?
Okay! In addition, I also apply this oil on my chest when I have difficulty in sleeping.  It really calms my mood.  I also slather this oil to my baby's legs since he has a skin asthma and it never fails to give it's moisturizing power to my baby's skin.
6 & 7. Rosemary, Calamansi Tea Tree SLES free Shampoo and Conditioner

Sodium Lauryl Ether Sulfate (SLES), is an anionic detergent and surfactant found in many personal care products (soapsshampoostoothpaste etc.). SLES is an inexpensive and very effective foaming agent. SLES, sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS), ammonium lauryl sulfate (ALS), and sodium pareth sulfate are surfactants that are used in many cosmetic products for their cleansing and emulsifying properties. They behave similarly to soap.

SLES is an irritant like many other detergents, with the irritation increasing with concentration. It has also been shown that SLES causes eye or skin irritation in experiments done on animals and humans. The related surfactant SLS is a known irritant, and research suggests that SLES can also cause irritation after extended exposure in some people. My hair has been my ultimate postpartum problem after giving birth to my three kids. It suddenly becomes dull, frizzy, "walang buhay," and the worst is that a handful of hair strands every morning in my comb due to hair fall. I am so worried because it really made my hair looks very thin and dry. Used a lot of treatment lately but it only consumes my time and broke my wallet.

My husband is such a fan of this product.  He used to have very dry scalp and this shampoo is the rescue! BodyFood's Rosemary, Calamansi Tea Tree SLES free Shampoo and Conditioner has both Coconut oil and Aloe Vera Extract.  In my two straight weeks of usage, I can definitely attest that I have less hair fall na! It's like pampering your hair all day long with all it's natural ingredients.  Again, I love how it smells and how it deliver its job!

I am so happy sharing this with you.  Let's continue to use organic and all natural products to our body.  Pahinga muna sa mga commercialized "chemical prone" products.

It is really depressing waking up when you see a lot of hair strands on your pillow. Every day, after shower, while combing my hair, I always catch a handful of hair strands.  You can also add the flakes dropping one after the other on my shoulder. I know it's yucky! My thinning hair combined by dandruff is getting it's toll out me.  This is probably because of my postpartum and everyday stress =(.  The length of my hair is below the shoulder, so I'm planning a haircut thinking it will somehow lessen the damage.  I know a lot of you out there who also suffers from dandruff and hair loss can relate to my problem.

I am now into switching my bath and personal essential from commercialized/imported products to local, and natural, organic ones.  In search of a bunch of organic hair serums out there, I happened to bump on Zenutrient's Gugo Strengthening Hair Serum.

Bought at Market! Market! for 499php (40ml)

Zenutrients has combined five of nature's most well-known ingredients that fight hair thinning and hair fall - Gugo, Jeju Aloe Vera, Green Tea extract, Tea Tree and Eucalyptus essential oils.

Gugo has always been popular in the Philippines as a proven organic remedy for stubborn dandruff, hair thinning, and even eczema.

Aside from gugo, jeju Aloe Vera is one of the best multi-vitamins for your hair and scalp. With as much as 75 nutrients, 20 minerals, 12 vitamins, 18 amino acids and 200 active enzymes, it’s the natural cure for many skin and health problems. With healthy hair follicles, it is easier for nutrients and minerals to reach the roots to make hair long, thick and strong.

In addition, the green tea extract has catechins and polyphenol that help strengthen roots and activate hair follicles that promote hair growth and re-growth, while the tea tree oil can help get rid of bacteria and fungi. It also helps wash away dead skin cells that help unclog pores for a healthy scalp.

Lastly, eucalyptus oil is nature’s cleanser. With its antifungal properties, it helps ward off infection, restrain residue build up and unclog the pores on the scalp.

How to use it?

First, Gently, massage into the scalp and affected areas in the evening, and then wash off in the morning. Then, apply again to the ends of your hair after washing when hair is still damp, to prevent split ends and breakage.

As for me, I apply a generous amount on my scalp, massage it every night (with feelings "]), and wash it off come morning.

My Thoughts:
  • The serum is very lightweight, I can hardly feel it in my hair.
  • Great in treating frizzy strands.
  • Not harsh in my hair as it is totally organic.
  • I don't mind the smell.  Some say it smells bad.  But, I personally think that the smell of coconut and some herbal plants and essential oils are heavenly.
  • My hair is thin and flat.  The serum gives a little bounce and fullness.
  • I see minimal results when it comes to treating my dandruff. Maybe I should try their tea tree scalp treatment too?
  • Though my hair becomes literally strong (meaning less breakage), there are still a lot of falling hair.
  • It's a little bit pricey for me for a 40ml bottle, but on the second thought, reading all the ingredients again makes me think that the price is just "okay".

Overall, I didn't get the maximum expected outcome of the product probably because I only finished a bottle of it. I think, I can see the best result with continuous use and a lot of patience. This is just for me. All of us have different hair conditions and who knows it might work on you. It's worth a try for those who already have a fuller and healthy hair and wanted to maintain it.

Will I repurchase? Probably next time, but not too soon.

I am still in search of the best and effective hair serum that can tremendously treat flakes and hair fall.

Help me find one! Sharing is caring, right? =)
The long weekend has passed, and whew! that's fast! Nevertheless, me and my kids still managed to do a little crafty minute, and this time, we've made a DIY homemade clay dough! I am soooo excited to share this with you. More than it serves as our bonding moment, seeing my kids experiment and exploring the process first hand is irreplaceable.

There are a lot of homemade clay recipes that you can search online, however, the best part of this one is that it is NO COOK, and no need for the Cream of Tartar as an ingredient.  This recipe is very inexpensive you can actually find all the ingredients in your kitchen.  Super easy peasy to make. Perfect for mothers who need cheap craft materials to keep their children busy at home while having all the fun!

Let's do this!

Materials needed:
  • Measuring cups and spoon
  • Bowl/container (I prefer plastic)
  • 1 cup of flour (I used all purpose flour)
  • 1 teaspoon of oil
  • 1/2 cup of salt
  • 1/2 cup of warm water
  • Food coloring
  • Resealable plastic bag/jar with lid (for clay storage)

Steps to make the clay dough:
  • Pour the flour and salt in the plastic container. Mix it very well.
  • While mixing the two ingredients carefully add the water and mix thoroughly.
  • Add 1 teaspoon of oil (I prefer vegetable oil) for more elasticity.
  • Mix and knead all the ingredients well to achieve the desired softness of the clay.
  • Add 3-4 drops of food coloring (your choice of color) to your dough and that's it! You're ready to go!
Tip: The key to a perfect soft, smooth and stretchy clay dough is the kneading part.  Make sure to knead all the ingredients very well during and right after you pour the water to avoid hardening of the ingredients.

The cute little hands of my kids while mixing all the ingredients. What a mess! haha
The kneading part.  In here, We are close to our desired softness of the clay. =)
Perfect! Look how soft it is!
We've made three different colors.  Make it more vibrant by adding 1-2 drops of food coloring.
To ensure that your clay will last longer, put it inside a resealable plastic/sandwich bag or closed jar and keep it in a fridge.

It's so simple, right?  Of all the crafts that me and my kids have done, this is our all time favorite! We had so much fun!

Happy Monday!
